Don’t Stress About Your Homeowner’s Insurance
In order to understand the unique needs of our clients, we are purposefully situated in the heart of the community we serve. We have strong partnerships with the builders and Homeowner’s Associations in Lake Nona, which is just one of the many reasons we are able to better serve our residents.
One of the questions we receive regularly from new homeowners in Laureate Park is, “what type of home policy do I need?” The answer to that depends on the specifics of your home. If your home is a single-family stand-alone building then the standard homeowner’s insurance (HO3) form is sufficient, however if your home is connected to another unit or to multiple units then that may not be the case.
The reason it is important to ensure you have the correct coverage comes into play if or when you experience a claim. Overlapping coverage does not mean you have double protection nor does it mean that there are not gaps in coverage, it just means that when there is a claim it could get more complicated than it needs to be. And who wants to add more stress to an already stressful situation?
For this reason, we want our clients to understand the difference in types of homeowner’s coverage and why it is important to have a discussion with your agent to ensure that you and the home you love are properly protected.
